For the past 20 years I have been viewing the world through the lens of my camera. My passion for photography has evolved. I look at the photographs that were taken of my family through the last 100 years and realize how important photography is to me as a means of preserving personal history as well as a route for creative expression.
My goal is to distinguish myself with fine art still life photography. I have taken photography classes; however, I am mostly self taught. I do my own processing and developing and hand craft each photograph. At this time all of my work is done with a medium format or 35mm camera. For distinction of style I work mostly in black and white. My images sometimes seem unpredictable, blending reflections of past, present and future. Like great painters and photographers before our time, I feel that we are here to define the meaning of our lives at this unique point in history.
My photography guides me to fulfill my hunger for creative definitions. Each day I try to come closer to that one thing that defines us as unique. I hope that the images I create speak not only to my world but have a universal appeal that can spark anyone's imagination. As I photograph vintage objects, I try to connect our past with our present and reconfirm that the good days are now. I will continue to evolve with new visions and invite you to join me in my quest for adventure as we let the goods times roll everyday. |
